Our SUMMIT
SM execution process and methodology is guided by SEI CMMI Level 5 requirements. The salient aspects of our methodology are:
- Well-defined quality management systems that cater to multiple software development lifecycles such as Waterfall, Iterative, and RUP
- Firmly established, documented, and executed Intellectual Property protection practices
- Implementation of measurable milestones throughout the life cycle of a project
- Established risk management and risk mitigation practices
- Clear, continuous, and focused communication
- Regular audits to verify and control quality and process implementation
Our Delivery process leverages our automated, web-enabled collaboration tool to ensure project visibility, strengthen communication, and accelerate our delivery process. Some of the tools we use are:
Project Management Portal
To ensure that customers have 24X7 visibility into the day-to-day project operations, we deploy AgreeYa's web-enabled Project Management Portal.
This Portal provides a dashboard view of project status. It includes an issue, risk, and scope management modules for logging and tracking. It also has a document management system to upload relevant project documents and to facilitate discussions and view exchanges.
Defect Management Portal
To enable the customer to log and track defects, we have also deployed a Defect Management Portal.
Knowledge Portal
The Intranet Knowledge Portal stores key information such as re-usable components, project learning, project metrics, QMS manuals, project templates, guidelines, and checklists. The key benefits derived from the knowledge portal are:
- Minimized training time: New hires are able to quickly review AgreeYa's customer advocacy approach, history, culture, and projects. This knowledge can then be propagated into new projects
- Maximized performance and sharing of knowledge assets: Provides information specific to best practices, QMS manuals, templates, guidelines, and re-usable software components to help the delivery team accelerate the delivery process
- Foster ongoing learning and communication: Develop a communication vehicle for sharing information and experiences within the organization
Information Technology Research Lab (iLab)
AgreeYa's Information Technology Research Labs (iLab) endeavors to identify, develop, and deploy sustainable technology solutions based on emerging technology trends. We research and develop frameworks and re-usable components that help us better understand technology and accelerate the delivery process.
Some examples of iLabs projects are:
- Microsoft: SMARTraxSM is a Microsoft iLab solution developed for after school children's programs. This solution required a handheld interface for user mobility. This required integration between a standard PC and a Windows CE/Palm handheld device
- J2EE: OfferWorksSM is J2EE iLab product which will allow companies to analyze and provide personalized offers based on customer usage patterns. This product incorporates a tablet PC-based wireless storefront interface to help customers choose the right product for their needs
- Open Source: The AgreeYa Intranet Portal is developed on open source platforms using Linux, Apache, JetSpeed, and JBoss. This has helped us understand open source products, their integration mechanisms, and developing re-usable components and frameworks.
